17. A wonderfully cute little boy… my little man is as ‘redhead’ and headstrong as they come. We tried to make him sleep in the first year of his life and he resisted. I’ve never heard so much screaming in my life – before or after.

Thankfully, those nights are mostly over – now it’s the days we’re dealing with haha. He’s almost 3, going on 13. Damn, when he doesn’t get what he wants, it’s World War Three! Wailing and gnashing of teeth! If we can survive his childhood, I’m pretty sure he’s going to be a freaking amazing human being. We just have to get there!

He’s so smart – he can work out any toy and item in and often above his age range – sometimes getting very frustrated, throwing it down, and coming back an hour later having percolated a bit, and doing it easily. He loves to see how things work. He loves new challenges – which can be a little frustrating as he loves a new toy for a few hour/days, then wants to be off finding the next thing to sort out. So we try to get out and about a lot so he can find new things to do and not get too entrenched at home.

We are so lucky with our babies. They are healthy and largely happy and ok.
